As is often the case of a brilliant and genial star passes away in a hurry, her untimely demise has thrown her profile into a quagmire. People mourned the entire extent of the potential that was not fully realized. Fans have worked harder throughout the years to keep her legacy alive. The tragic death by shooting of Tejano singer Selena caused a resurgence within the Latino community that can be likened in the wake of the deaths of Elvis Presley and John Lennon. Selena was a wildly well-known singer for Latinos across North America. But her music was a hit with both the young as well as the elderly. Selena was a hot and stunning stage performer who is sometimes referred to as Latina Madonna, was also a model offstage. Selena was also active in antidrug campaigns.
